Post Second World War
The Axis Powers had unconditionally surrendered and WWII had come to a close. But out of this came the Cold War. As nations tried to rebuild themselves from the untold destruction they had suffered, the 'East' was pitched against the 'West.' A series of proxy wars ensued and tensions heightened and fell rapidly and spontaneously. But peace, for the most part, prevailed. With this peace came rapid economic and technological growth.
